2015
International Expansion & Everest
Consulting commenced in Mozambique, the same year Eileen and Philip van Greunen climbed Everest for charity, with consulting in Botswana following in 2016.

African Footprint
In 2013 we established a permanent presence in Windhoek to cover Namibia, marking the beginning of our expansion across Africa.
2007
CPD Training Launch
Commenced with CPD Training as regulatory compliance required it for professionals in the built environment.
2000
National Expansion
Expansion to KwaZulu-Natal and the Free State marked our first major growth phase.
Offices were established in two of the busiest cities in South Africa, Durban and Bloemfontein. Cape Town and Port Elizabeth followed shortly after in 2001.

Early Years
Founded by Eileen van Greunen in early 1997, Specifying Techniques was established with the mission of becoming a technical resource for Built Environment organisations.
To this day, Specifying Techniques carries Eileen's vision of expertise, excellence and accuracy as both our founding principles and daily compass.
